Free Sales Training

So here's the deal:
For those of you out there reading this, congratulations! It is wise to search for new ways to increase your ability to sell and network with others to stay at the leading edge of 21st Century sales since being a true sales professional is quite unique and YES Virginia, it is a profession.

Think about it.

If you talk a lot and have the gift of gab, people always tell you to "go into sales". If you tend to be a social butterfly, they tell you to "go into sales". If you are sly or persuasive, "go into sales". The list goes on. But here's the reality:

Have you ever had anyone go up to you and say: "You have a tremendous gift of asking the right questions, listening to the answers and asking more questions....you should go into sales!"

Now, if you are reading this because you recently started selling and are looking for ways to get better because you have the gift of gab, are sly or highly persuasive or are even a social butterfly, you may want to run from sales as a profession. :)

While this is not entirely true (as some of these skills are important) what you need to understand is that sales as a profession takes skill and the gift of gab is not one of them. That's why you are reading this. You are looking to get better! And if you ever get complacent in your position in sales, you will get bored quickly and look for the next opportunity! 75% of sales professionals are always looking anyway, and if you aren't, then you are probably not that good! :) I'm serious about that.

The great news is not only will you enjoy what I can teach you about being phenomenal in sales, but I am also a networking guru by trade and do my best to become friends with enough people in enough organizations, that once you are ready to make that move to the next sales organization, I may be able to steer you in the right direction.

You might say: Well, Steve...you are a professional recruiter. You recuit sales professionals for a living for your organization, so why can't I just go work for you?
While that may be something to look at, you have to understand that each organization is going to be a different environment for sales, and it is important to not only hone your skills, but find out what kind of sales you enjoy doing. Then go after it with everything you've got, and I mean everything. Sales is about making what you put into it. It's what I call the "entrepreneurial mentality".

You know the old saying of "it's all about who you know"? I think I would also add that " it's not only about who you, but how you know them."

So with that being said, you have probably joined other groups or organizations, showed up for a meeting or two, and you were the only one besides the organizer. Sound familiar?

Or maybe you showed up to the meeting hoping to receive these great ideas and it turns out they just wanted you there so they could sell you on the next best product or sign you up for the next MLM that is going to fail anyway. See how smart (not really) they are as sales professionals? They made you mad by having you attend something you didn't want to be a part of anyway...but boy did it sound good. :) My only advice: Run away!!!

So here's the deal: I am a professional recruiter (which if you ask me are the best sales professionals in the country, but I am a little biased in that regards). I just relocated to Salt Lake City from Philadelphia where I ran free sales trainings to anyone desiring to come. It is true I do hire sales professionals by trade, and yes it is true the people I hire make 6-figures by their second year with us, but the positions I fill are not the right positions for everyone and I don't just hire anybody. So we need to help you find just what is going to best fit what you want to do.

Before I offer this free training though, I need to have a minimum of 15 people that are willing to commit for the next 6 months to come. I don't have time to catch you up on things, and if you are truly serious about learning and getting better, you will make the effort to be there. After the training we can start again with the training and hold a group meeting for sales professionals to bring up new ideas, challenges for resolution, etc.

Just email me at SalesRecruiterSteve@gmail.com with "Training" in the subject line and request to be added to our group list and we will be getting started at the beginning of the New Year in 2007. The only thing that I do require is that you are currently in a sales position by profession and are eager to learn and grow.

Welcome to my new Sales Career blog for Salt Lake City, and know that you have one more friend in the business with me!
